Agenda
The Spring 2013 program will run from February 21st through May 22nd. During the program, SURGE companies will attend 40+ sessions where they learn from our incredible mentors, industry experts, and guest speakers. Topics include from legal formation, working with the Energy Giants, establishing companies in a regulated industry, landing a pilot, term sheet negotiations, and many, many more. SURGE classes are a diverse mix of first-time innovators, seasoned entrepreneurs, and later-stage companies all focused on moving further faster.

Curriculum
The SURGE curriculum will provide the foundation of knowledge necessary to accelerate your company’s software platform and management team into the energy ecosystem with a targeted strategy.

Expectations
SURGE companies will lead at the forefront of energy and information technology, solving some of the world's most difficult challenges, including but not limited to:
- Smart Grid Applications
- Energy Trading and Risk Management
- Digital Oilfield
- Energy Efficiency
- Regulatory Compliance
Those that are accepted will be required to relocate all or a portion of their team to Houston, Texas for the duration of the program. Target companies will have a strong value proposition, sizable market, and sustainable competitive advantage. Additionally, SURGE is looking for companies that are able to scale in a capital efficient manner and should already have an existing prototype or working model of the product.
For later-stage companies with funding, a portion of your team may attend the program if accompanied by a C-level executive.
